(I am listing this motorhome for my brother who lost his storage for the motorhome and now has no where to store his pet project.) This is a quite rare vintage 1976 Champion 20-ft fully self contained factory made 4X4 Class A motorhome made on a Dodge 1-ton DRW chassis. This is like a time capsule from the '70's with the original bright green shag carpet! The odometer reads just over 23,500 miles and because of the condition of the brake pedal, (no wear), steering wheel and the interior we think this is most likely accurate. My brother bought this motorhome from the original elderly owner who said that the mileage was original. The Dodge chassis is powered by a 360 V-8 gas engine with a new carb, fuel filters and fuel pump and oil&filter change plus tune-up ($430). The motorhome has all brand new 16 inch rims and tires ($1,870 worth) replacing the old 16.5 rims and tires and runs and drives well. It just finished a 550 mile trip and returned about 8mpg. There is no dash A/C, but the roof A/C works well with 'shore' power or gen-set power. The Onan generator only has 47 original hours but needs a new fuel line since the old fuel line was brittle. It has not run in over 2 years and may need a tune-up and carb cleaning due to old fuel issues. The 'fridge is not working, an RV tech said that it has the older ammonia cooling system and likely just needs to be 'burped' by pulling the fridge out and turning it upside down for 8 hours to allow the air bubbles to get out of the lines. My brother did not use the water system since the 12V water pump is old and virtually non-functional, it needs replacement. The original owner said the water system, hot water heater and furnace all worked. It appears that the fresh water tank is about 30 gallons, and the black holding tank is about 15 gallons and the gray water tank is about 20 gallons. With a little TLC, this could be a sweet little 'bug out' rig, with the four wheel drive feature you can really get into those hard to reach places. It will sleep 6 people. It is about 21'-6" overall in length bumper to bumper, and is about 10'-4" tall to the top of the roof A/C unit. There was some minor roof leakage in the rear that wrinkled the ceiling covering, but the ceiling is not 'rotted' and the roof has been resealed. The board between the dashboard and the windshield that holds the defroster vents is warped and needs replacement. The entry step is jammed in the up or travel position and needs replacement or repair. There are some minor small dings, parking lot dents and scratches as seen in the photos, but nothing major. This motorhome came from Idaho, so there is no rust or cancer issues. The Champion motorhomes were made right here in SW Idaho in Payette at the Champion factory. There were very few of the 4X4 motorhomes made, and only by special dealer order. The 4X4 works well on this motorhome.Asking $6,200 cash only, no trades and no checks!
