JOB TITLE: IT Assistant/Support DeskSUMMARY: Extra Express in Brea seeks full-time entry level IT Support Desk Assistant. We are currently looking for a person that has technical knowledge in a Windows environment. The right candidate will be highly dynamic with a passion for the IT industry. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The System Support / Help Desk position provides telephone and in-person support to users and standard Windows desktop applications. This position also serves as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting hardware/software PC, phones and printer problems. The candidate will help with maintenance of printers, phones and other office equipment. Assist with other duties and special projects as assigned by Operations Manager. Work may require irregular hours and occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position. Ability to lift office equipment up to 60 lbs with proper training and assistance, when needed.Job Responsibilities • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, upgrade, and install software and customer-built application software.• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, upgrade, and install networked and standalone computer equipment and peripherals.• Provide technical support to help desk calls from users by diagnosing and troubleshooting problems with PC Software, i.e. Windows XP, Windows 7, MS Office, and various other software packages.• Update and maintain client based web programs.• Knowledge of basic programming and scripting languages preferred.
