As part of the Development team, you will manage all aspects of internationalization and localization in our web and mobile applications. You will work alongside an agile, collaborative, and collegial team of accomplished software engineers, designers and business owners.If you are passionate about serving the best user experience in their specific locale, designing and coding well-crafted enterprise software, enjoy working within a dedicated team, and eager to make a big impact on our platform, this may be an ideal opportunity for you.We have a fun, supportive culture, and firmly believe in what we're doing.This position will report to the Development Director.Responsibilities:* Manage web and mobile release translation projects and acceptance reviews with our vendors* Implement i18n requirements in our Rails platform user interface* Resolve i18n and l10n issues reported by our customers* Preparation and validation of files for localization in our Rails platform* Effectively communicate technical knowledge and resolutions to translators, vendors, and other members of the development team* Interact with product management, user interface designer and software engineers to develop user interface functional specification* Work with Front-End Engineers on localization of graphics and images * Evangelize internationalization best practices in the team* Maintain localization files in code repository* Continually look for opportunities to improve our platform, process and business* Be awesome, tell us what makes you special!Requirements:* 3-5 years of web localization experience* Expertise in at least one MVC framework, preferably Rails, Django* Experience with front-end web engineering* Bachelors degree in Computer Science or relevant experienceExtra consideration given for:* Experience with Cloudwords* Mobile software localization a plus* Fluency in non-English languages* Entrepreneurial spiritIn addition to competitive salaries, we offer incentive stock options, company paid health benefits, 401k and a startup environment that allows for creativity and a chance to have fun at work.
